Came into botanas after a long while the other day and the service was terrific! The food was good as well, very solid. I really enjoyed the enchilada soup. I got a mini combo, but I did regret straying from my usual, the Mexican pizza, because it's just that good!
I might be a gringo but I absolutely love this place. I come here all the time for the beef fajita lunch special. I'm also obsessed with the enchilada soup. The service for the lunch rush is always amazing. Shout out to Olivia, our very friendly server today.
Nothing compares to the chips and salsa! Botanas is hands down my fav! As for the margaritas, I love a good classic but the strawberry mango is a close second. The service is always good and it's nice to continue seeing the same faces over the years.
I am glad to have visited this eatery. Festive decor for Dia de los Muertos celebrations. Upon entering the establishment, I was greeted with a warm smile and seated promptly. Ordered the Mexican pizza and it was bomb! Requested a take home box ; my order was plenty.
This food was amazing. Lived in MKE 25 years ago and my go to Mexican spot is now long gone. Looked to Reddit for recs and landed at Botanas. I had the vegetarian special, which consisted of a chile relleno and a chile espanol--both amazing, GIANT, and tha relleno was the best I have ever had anywhere. My daughter had the Mexican tacos, also excellent, with tender (not chewy or fatty) steak. The house salsa is delicious, and just a touch kicky. I don't know know how I'm going to have Mexican food back at home again after this trip. Truly outstanding, friendly service, lots of parking, reasonable prices.
We love this place. Every time we're in Milwaukee we have dinner here. Yesterday I had the chimichanga. It was huge! Margaritas are delicious! Tonight having fish tacos. Always happy to have their fish tacos. Hubby and baby are having carne asada tacos. Also great choice. They sing happy birthday to those celebrating. We love the cha cha cha! Anyway. If you haven't tried them, what are you waiting for? They're open for many holidays except for maybe Christmas and 4th of July.
Great service and even better food!! We are out on the patio and got the Firecrackers with steak and they were delicious! Also got the Enchilada soup which was tasty! The salsa had a nice kick too!
Botana's has been a staple for years. The team here hustles and the food is consistently good and they offer generous portions. Never disappointed when we come here.

I have pictures of food! I went back and the service was just as quick and amazing as the first time. The staff was super kind. The food was great and the steak was cooked well on the appetizer platter (which I got as my meal). Will definitely come back again!
